England, Circa 1580 - 1600

Rare Elizabeth I oak, walnut & chestnut table cabinet, with a hinged top enclosing a well. Above a frieze of geometric mouldings, the lockable fall-front reveals a configuration of seven internal drawers with secret compartments to the back of the drawers.
