Having a marquetry inlay frieze drawer, raised on cluster column supports, the recessed & canted cupboard exhibits three double arcaded panels, each with floral marquetry & framed by chequered inlay. The central panelled door, flanked by jewelled decoration and applied split balusters, below on cluster column supports is an open boarded undertier, the base rails all with running scroll carving.
An almost identical cupboard in both form and style can be found in the long gallery at Hever Castle, birthplace of Anne Boleyn.
