The tall narrow rectangular back with moulded panel, the horizontal or flat arms typically angled to the centre and raised on four baluster and reel turned supports, two of which extend and terminate into finials, around a trapezium seat, the front and side seat rails carved with flat run-moulding, raised on further baluster and reel turned legs, joined by channel-moulded ‘H’ stretcher, the front stretcher projecting and overlapping the two front legs.
A chair of similar form can be found as part of the V&A's collection.
