ELIZABETH I, JOINED OAK CHEST

A rare & elegantly refined Elizabeth I oak chest, the lid is of a particularly rare design for the period featuring panels arranged in a quadrant. The three panels to the front, each within deep moulded frames, the sides consisting of twin panelling. All of which, is on extended stile supports.
